What is The Care Consortium?

The Care Consortium consists of a number of Welsh nursing and residential homes, who are committed to staff training and development.
The consortium holds monthly meetings where current issues within the care sector are discussed, along with training and development and sharing best practice.
Care home owners/managers are invited to nominate a representative who will attend these monthly meetings in order to share good practice and help improve the quality of care throughout Wales.

All Care Consortium members are entitled to discount on commercial training. The Care Consortium will also entitle you to have your training delivered at a venue of your choice, which could include your organisation for a time that is convenient to you. All course details are available on the Care Consortium website.

Any Care home wishing to become a member can complete an expression of interest form and the current consortium members then vote you on to the Consortium.

Once membership has been offered, the Care home owner/manager is asked to sign an agreement form that outlines the aims and objectives of the consortium and asks for commitment in assisting with their achievement.

There are no financial charges made to become a member of the Care Consortium.
